Congressman Schneider acts as a consummate corrupt insider, believing that the ‘rules’ don’t really apply to him. Without question, he perpetrated a fraud upon the voters of the 10th District by swearing to a knowingly false filing about his place of residence. Neither he nor anyone else has lived at that address since Schneider purchased it.

Moreover, Representative Schneider may have committed a tax fraud as well in claiming two ‘homesteads.’? His dishonest dealings provide a window into the shady tactics of a crony insider, a coddled and comfortable cheater who’s unfit to serve.

State Sen. Julie Morrison (D-Lake Forest) is trying standardize pronouns in state law by removing “mother” from the lexicon.

“Amends various Acts concerning children by: replacing certain pronouns with the nouns to which the pronouns refer; replacing certain instances of the word 'biological’" and “deleting certain obsolete language; and making technical and other changes. Effective 60 days after becoming law,” the bill synopsis reads.

Morrison’s bill would make changes to dozens of existing laws.

The Abandoned Newborn Infant Protection Act would eliminate references to the mothers who birth the abandoned newborn infants, replacing the word with "persons."

For instance, Morrison would change the phrase “in the case of a mother who gives birth to an infant in the hospital” to “in the case of a person who gives birth to an infant in the hospital.”

In other cases, it would eliminate the word "mother" without replacing it.

"A brochure describing postpartum health information for the mother" would be edited to say "a brochure describing postpartum health information." In some cases "mother" would change to "person who gave birth" and "mothers" would change to “persons."

The move follows the Biden Administration’s move toward replacing the term “mother” with “birthing people," Newsweek reported.

Lake Forest resident seeks to unseat Brad Schneider in 10th Congressional District

A Lake Forest resident has announced he'll try to unseat Democratic U.S. Rep. Brad Schneider of Deerfield.

Joe Severino, the founder and president of a private investment company, is the first Republican in the race for Schneider's 10th Congressional District seat.

Although Severino revealed his campaign to the media this week, he launched a campaign Facebook page in 2020 and has been meeting with community and political groups for months.

Severino's campaign website lists problems with the U.S. supply chain, high energy prices and crime among his priorities.

The website also incorrectly accuses the government of "targeting concerned parents as domestic terrorists." Although that claim has been oft-repeated by conservatives on social media and in traditional media, no federal agency or official has made that blanket statement about parents.

Schneider is in his fourth term in the U.S. House. He won the post in 2012, lost it in 2014, reclaimed it in 2016 and has held the job since.

Democrats Andrew Wang and Kim Nowak also have filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission indicating they plan to challenge Schneider in their party's primary on June 28.

For the last decade, the 10th District has included much of Lake County and a portion of suburban Cook County. But congressional district boundaries are shifting this year based on population changes revealed by the 2020 U.S. census and political factors.

Moving forward, the 10th District will include part of McHenry County, too. The new boundaries will last until the 2032 election.
